Learn to live off the land, one step at a time

Video courses on regenerative gardening, responsible animal husbandry and self-sufficient living, from where the Carretera Austral begins.

Who we are

We are Javier and Allison

We are veterinarians and we live on a farm just outside Puerto Montt. We started in 2020 collecting fruit trees for a plot we did not own yet, and we have not stopped since.

Here we show how we do it: the garden, the hens, the compost, the greenhouse. What works and what we had to do over.

What makes us different

  1. Four generations

Javier's great-grandparents came from Germany to settle the south and lived off what they planted. Much of what we do today we learned from that family.

  2. Veterinary rigour

We both work as veterinarians. Every piece of husbandry and animal-care advice has professional backing.

  3. Living soil

No synthetic fertilisers or pesticides. Compost, mulch and rotation. It is slower, but every season the soil is better than the last.

  4. Step by step

Self-sufficiency is not all or nothing. You move forward as far as you can, and every step counts.

Our beginnings

The first seedlings

This is how the story begins… with two young dreamers, eager to grow their own food and to change the way we live today.

It was a long day digging up seedlings and cuttings of all kinds of fruit plants and more: raspberries, murtilla, currants, grapevines, monkey puzzle trees, several kinds of cherry, apples, rhododendrons, plums, kiwis and so on.

That day we took the first step towards something we will be thankful for in the near future.

Questions we get asked a lot

Can't find yours? There are more on the FAQ page.

How do the courses work?

Each course is a series of video lessons recorded on our farm. You buy it once on Hotmart and progress at your own pace, from your phone or computer. You can rewatch any lesson as many times as you like.

How long do I have access?

Forever. Buying a course grants lifetime access, including the current lessons and any updates we make to that course.

Do I need prior experience?

No. Most courses are marked "From scratch" and start with the basics. Intermediate courses say so on their page and assume you already keep a garden or animals at home.

Which payment methods do you accept?

Credit and debit cards and bank transfer through a Chilean payment gateway. Course access or order confirmation is activated automatically once payment is confirmed.
